Artist Statement
I aim to reflect, celebrate, confront, and critique our times, through the perspective of a middle-aged, brown, immigrant, queer artist living in the United States in the 21st Century. My practice encompasses traditional and newer media, community projects, and creative writing that present accidental and forced intersections of personal experiences with histories, current events, geo-locations, languages, performative elements, and found artifacts.
